WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY
At least 30 days notice is required should a student want to cancel lessons.
CAN I TAKE BI-WEEKLY OR MONTHLY LESSONS?
Bi-weekly is an option. I currently wouldn’t recommend monthly lessons as momentum and progress are seen with more frequent lessons. Weekly lessons would be the preferred cadence.
WHAT CURRICULUM DO YOU TEACH?
MrPhil typically uses three different curriculums: Faber & Faber, Bastien and Alfred's Piano Basics. Depending on the student's goals, we can also use the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum.
DO YOU HAVE TERMS OR SEMESTERS?
MrPhil teaches from September through May. The commitment is for the full-time period. However, if there are extenuating circumstances that would require something different, MrPhil is open to having that conversation.
WHAT IS YOUR ACCEPTED FORM OF PAYMENT?
Cash or e-transfer is the preferred method.
WHAT AGES DO YOU TEACH?
MrPhil has taught from ages 5 up to 47. For the younger starting ages, it will depend on the student and we make that assessment on a case-by-case basis. MrPhil loves working with all ages!.
DO I NEED ANY EXPERIENCE?
No experience needed!
DO YOU TRAVEL OR TEACH OUT OF YOUR HOME?
MrPhil teaches out of his home or will travel to do in-home lessons for an added mileage fee.
